In this concert the consort presents music for St Catherine including work by Walter Frye and John Dunstaple, as well as music for historic Scotland (part of the AHRC-funded Space, Place, Sound, and Memory Virtual Reality reconstruction project) including the highly technical polyphonic choral music from the Carver Choirbook – one of very few surviving pre-reformation manuscripts of Scottish music.

We offer this programme in memory of our dear friend and colleague Philip Weller, whose contribution is embodied in this CD, but who sadly passed away before it went to press.

Programme includes:

Walter Frye
Missa nobilis et pulchra, Kyrie

En Katerina solennia
John Dunstaple
Gaude virgo Katherina
From Carver Choirbook
